Quite dangerous...

So we just thought that this picture was good enough to make it on the blog. If you look at the sign, that man is in real danger, not only are there rocks falling on him but there is a car coming at him from behind!  Posted by Picasa

"Wow Mom" backwards = "Mom Wow"

Well, here we are at the Iguacu Falls, actually in the meat-blessed country of Argentina (ask Michael about his devine steak). But that's not why we were attempting to exclaim, "Wow Mom!". It was actually because of the massive waterfalls behind us. Hundereds of different waterfalls soaking us from all directions. What a view. And oh yeah, the meat was great. Posted by Picasa

Brazil Bliss

This man looks like he's high...

I mean, like high up in the air with his para-sailing guide Flavinho. Jumping off the mini-mountain Ferrabraz and soaring like an eagle above Sapiranga. We're proud of you Dad, happy 54th birthday.

Jim and the meat

The day the man found the meat. This is a churrascaria which is a meat buffet where the meat comes out on these spits and does not stop until you've eaten all you can. February 6th, in Sapiranga, Rio Grande do Sul, the most southern state in Brazil. Full of cowboys, meat, and chimarrao, a tea from a bitter herb. Raechelle has some and I heard she really likes it. We were also served chicken hearts and grilled pineapple.

The lovely 'rents

February 7th, 2006. Trekking through an ecological reserve called Familia Lima. We enjoyed 5 beautiful waterfalls, a spring fed stream to walk through, and a hammock in the shade. What a beautiful day. Just don't ask Jim about what happened to Michael's butt when he jumped off of the 25 meter waterfall.
